Bronx Construction Fire Injures Three as Construction Fires on the Rise by Christopher Hazlehurst, J.D.

Law Commentary, a legal news, information and blog website, recently published an article describing a May construction fire in The Bronx that injured three workers. The article goes on to discuss the increase in construction site fires as reported by the National Fire Protection Association. Kevin Kohn is quoted in the article discussing the responsibility of contractors to provide a safe worksite with proper protection and their liability to workers for injuries caused by the owner’s negligence.

New York City Paid a Record $1.5 Billion in Legal Claims in 2022 by Christopher Hazlehurst, J.D.

Attorney Kevin Kohn was interviewed recently for an article discussing the record amount of civil claims paid out by New York City in 2022, including more than $681 million paid to settle over 7,000 personal injury claims. Mr. Kohn explained how lawsuits against the City differ from those involving private defendants. He also touched upon the complicated legal issue of liability for sidewalk trip and fall injuries in NYC.
